They say that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be truer for Paprika, a World Music Band comprised of inspirational musicians and skillful performers. The band have earned a very impressive reputation, touring worldwide, from Glastonbury and WOMAD to the Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House. Paprika's line up consists of two accordions, guitar and percussion with regular guest members on violin and bass. They are the UK's leading Balkan band, specialising in bringing rare performance of frenzied virtuosity. Fiery melodies and or lost traditional Balkan music back to life, fusing together Eastern European, Balkan, Gypsy and Classical music in a whirlwind foot-tapping rhythms are interspersed with lilting laments. This is a high energy musical experience from a very exciting group.
