London-based melodic punks Triple Sundae are out on a co-headline tour with Bristol folk punk trio Toodles & the Hectic Pity, and they'll be taking the top spot for this show. The band have cut their teeth supporting bands like Jeff Rosenstock, Chewing on Tinfoil, Authority Zero, PKEW PKEW PKEW, Petrol Girls, and Wonk Unit. Check out last year's fantastic Glow EP on their Bandcamp: https://triplesundae.bandcamp.com/
Bristol folk punk trio Toodles & the Hectic Pity are stopping by Oxford ahead of releasing their new EP Ghosts, Guilt and Grandparents on the unstoppably brilliant Specialist Subject label in early February. They'll suit fans of AJJ, Jeffrey Lewis, Onsind and/or Crywank very nicely indeed. You can hear the first track 'Duck' from that EP on their Bandcamp, and we recommend you do because it is gooooood: https://toodlesandthehecticpity.bandcamp.com/
And we'll have local twiddly emo rockers Spank Hair on the bill too. Check out their wonderful 2019 EP on their Bandcamp: https://spankhair.bandcamp.com/album/whats-the-rush
The gig will be 18+ and the Library has several small flights of stairs, including down to the venue room. Also, our shows are inclusive shows, and we want people to feel safe. Racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, bigotry and general dickery of any kind will not be tolerated. If you feel like you can't handle that, feel free not to come. And if you experience any of these, speak to one of us (we'll probably be hanging about the PA/door) or to venue staff.
And finally, we recognise that gigs are a financial luxury that not everyone can afford. We try to keep our gigs as cheap as possible, and we need to be able to pay the bands fairly, but if you know you can't afford it and would like to come, get in touch and we can arrange free or discounted entry for you.
