Leeds jazz/soul/global beats music promoter DJ Lubi hosts his first live show at Brudenell Social Club of 2020. Another night showcasing the new young talent emerging from Leeds' vibrant DIY music scene the last few years. Headliners are Leeds' prog-jazz-rock champions Shaku who are releasing their long awaited debut album "Maku" in February 2020 and kick of their UK promotional tour at the Brudenell Community Room on Saturday 15th February
After two years of relentless gigging, including supports the last 12 months to the likes of Henge, The Headhunters, Too Many Zoos and Têtes De Pois, Shaku finally deliver their much anticipated debut album Maku in February 2020. Fusing prog-jazz-rock sounds of the past with prog-jazz-rock sounds of the future, they love the music of Zappa, Gong, Caravan and Parliament/Funkadelic and weave these influences together into their own unique sound they call "Frog Rock".
Shaku have asked along some mates along to help them celebrate the release of their debut album.
Bethlehem Casuals from Manchester make some of the most genre bending, upbeat, goodtime mishmash music you'll hear anywhere today. A kaleidoscope of musical styles that takes in psychedelic rock, folk, jazz, prog and even rap. Seven self-styled groove gremlins that rock any gig they play - festivals, clubs or raves - their live shows are legend.
Lady are a 5-piece psychedelic rock outfit infused with jazz and folk that pays homage to the 1970s. Formed and led by Lady herself, who's emotional and melodic vocals are inspired by the likes of Jeff Buckley and Stevie Nicks. Building a solid local following now with regular gigs around Leeds, come down early and check them out.

It is a community ‘non profitmaking’ venue, that holds charitable status, based in Leeds 6. The Brudenell Social Club is owned by its members, run by its members, for its members.
The Brudenell is most famous for hosting secret gigs for bands like Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs. However, it has been a centrepiece of the Leeds music scene for a number of years, and hosts gigs most nights of the week, which are put on by a variety of local promoters.
