A very welcome return to Firbeck Village Hall for the amazing contemporary Folk/World music band Ranagri featuring musicians Dónal Rogers, Eliza Marshall, Ellie Turner and Joe Danks.

The hybrid combination of these players brings a melting pot of creativity consisting of flutes; Irish whistles; electric harp; bodhran; guitars; piano; bouzouki and voices. They fuse worldwide folk music with quality contemporary songwriting enhanced by virtuosic instrumentals, vibrant rhythms and haunting melodies, all interlaced with vivid storytelling.

Since forming in 2013, Ranagri have recorded three studio albums at Grammy Award Winning Record Label Stockfisch Records in Germany, with their latest record 'Playing For Luck' released in January 2019.

Combining superb classical flute and harp playing, with fantastic singing, guitar-playing and percussion on beautiful, rousing and uplifting original songs and tunes, it's no wonder that Ranagri are Tony Christie's band of choice. A performance not to be missed!
