A Friday night of 1920s and '30s New Orleans jazz, swing and Eastern European folk at Jamboree with The Kitchen Syncopators and Around About Dusk. Live music from 8.30pm.
Taking Songs from the southern States of 1920s and 1930s America, The Kitchen Syncopators play original arrangements of long forgotten gems and timeless classics. Sit and tap away or get up and swing to the sweet vocals backed by banjo, upright bass, horns, washboard, piano and drums....oh yeah! and the kitchen sink.
The band are forged of experienced players and lovers of Bristol's cherished jazz and swing scene.
Opening the night we have Around About Dusk, an adventurous musical conception playing original music with influences ranging from musette, New Orleans jazz, old time, and European folk traditions with eclectic instrumentation and rich vocal harmonies.
