Following a series of sold out shows Paul Hawksworth returns to Nether Edge Bowling Club in Sept 2020. The exciting, up-and-coming singer-songwriter will be performing songs of his debut EP. Paul's unique voice, dynamic live performances and proficient songwriting mean that this is an event not to be missed. Support comes from the excellent Attic Movement.

A bit about Paul

Preserving a natural and honest feel to his music is of paramount importance to singer-songwriter Paul Hawksworth, and this approach serves his intimate and stripped-back sound well. Spearheaded by his devotion to songwriting and performing he has seen two of his songs recently reach the finals of the 2017 UK Songwriting Contest.

Reminiscent of Passenger and Jack Savoretti Paul's sound is steeped in acoustic folk and warm-hearted singer/songwriter. A unique voice with a soft, dusty tone; utterly dynamic.

Since drawing proceedings to a close with former indie/rock band The Monday Club in 2015, Paul Hawksworth has been crafting his own material and launched his debut single 'Be the Light' which reached number 8 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart.

As a sought after instrumental tutor, Paul divides his time between writing, performing and teaching; focussing 100% of his energy on his music. Citing key influences including David Gray, Neil Finn (Crowded House) and Carole King, the Sheffield tunesmith aims to offer listeners songs that stand the test of time.

Paul's debut EP 'Drifting Away' was released in November 2019 and is available on all major platforms. With this and other unique live shows planned, 2020 promises to be an exciting year for the Yorkshire-based artist.
