Description

Jay Davis's BadTrad is formed from an inquisitiveness about people, where they come from and how this affects their personalities and lives in general. Compositions include pieces using melodies overheard being hummed by strangers in the street, a robotic construction from a laptop and a three year olds' piano improvisation. Showcasing some of the most exciting improvisers from the UK scene, the band draw on a broad range of musical influences from European choral music to free jazz.

Jay Davis is an award-winning drummer and composer based in london.
jay has performed throughout the uk, europe and asia at festivals and major venues.

Jay plays in several creative projects as well as leading his own band Badtrad and contributing as co-leader to big bad wolf alongside owen dawson and mike de souza.
