Bring out your purple, green and gold garments for a special New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration at the legendary Jamboree in London's east end. Live music comes from the blistering, booty shakin' blues and hard hootin' hokum band The Clay Bottom Jug Busters! We'll also have an opening set at 8pm from João Mello, playing Brazilian popular music from the '60s and 70s, blues, soul, jazz, some Tom Waits songs and originals.
You are encouraged to bring "throws" as with the traditional Louisiana float riders, whether in the form of items considered debauched, underwear, doubloons or home-made toys.
Jamboree is a grass-roots world music venue and bar hosting Folk, Blues, Americana, Celtic, Mediterranean, Eastern, European, GypsyPunk and Old Time Jazz!
Jamboree is back with a POP-UP adventure in a different venue in Limehouse from December 1st!
