Five Points Gang
Five Points Gang is a London based blues trio. The band are Harry Michael, Dinho Barral and Joe Pearson. Harry, Dinho and Joe met toward the end of 2018. From their first free flowing jam in a Notting Hill rehearsal studio, they knew something special was happening, and right there and then, the band was born. Although the focus is blues, the guys quickly discovered that their varied styles and capabilities injected something new into the genre. Five Points Gang is unafraid of combining jazzy/fusion improvisation, with hard hitting blues rock grooves and catchy songwriting somehow keeping true to the modern blues ethos which is the thread that links them together. No two gigs will ever be the same, and the audience is as much a part of the performance and over all gig experience as the band themselves..

The Horse Tornadoes
The Horse Tornadoes are a piano and guitar-led band, bringing their jaunty brand of indie-rock and pop to the masses from their Aylesbury headquarters. Bringing together a series of catchy original songs, the band have developed their sound, culminating in the recording of EP tracks and winning a place at the Live in the Park Festival in Buckinghamshire in 2019.
The boys, from all corners of the UK, are Andrew Waugh (guitar), Andy Blackaby-Iles (Bass), Chris Boggon (Piano/Keys), Joel Kirk (Percussion) and Jonny Sanday (Vocals). Inspired by a range of artists from the classic rock of Bon Jovi to the pop hits of Scouting for Girls, their original songs bring something different to local music...with their own unique spin on a few covers thrown in.
In January 2019 they'll be on the line-up for the Live in London Festival, and their tracks are available to stream on Reverbnation and SoundCloud.

Sam Handy
Sam Handy has been gaining a lot of traction since his first appearance in 2016. Having already made it onto the BBC Introducing's 'Hot Picks' list, Sam has proven himself to be more than just a regular performer at their introducing shows.

With a background carved out of soulful American dance music and blues, Sam has brought to life his blend of passionate vocals and expressive sounds to create his "soul rock" style. Citing Prince & John Mayer as some of his biggest influences, Sam mixes his relatable lyrics with memorable melodies and outstanding guitar sounds that leave you craving for more. His latest songs 'Maple Syrup' and 'Behave' as proof.

Sam's first release 'Early Light' went on to impress online radio giant 'Best of British Unsigned', and was nominated & awarded runner-up for their 'Best Unsigned Song' music award thanks to a popular vote. Having been a guest on Reload Sessions, Bridge Sessions and soon Mokum Sessions - Sam Handy continues to grow in popularity as a singer/songwriter.

Description

A pub and music bar on the perimeter of Cambridge Circus, at the corner of Romilly Street and Moor Street. First licensed in 1686 as the George, the current building dates from 1898 and the current name from 1986. (One of the old names, Cantons, can be seen being held by one of the gargoyles on the top of the building).

Famous in the 1960s and 70s for folk music and then punk, latterly it has become a jazz venue and home to SpiceJazz club. Up to 5 real ales from the McMullen range on offer and free admission to the main bar but you may have to pay for some music gigs in the basement.

Upstairs at the Spice is for drinks, eats and good times. Enjoy Great British classics with special seasonal dishes prepared daily by our chefs.
