SoftlySoftly has a cool new venue by the sea - the lovely Little Swift bar, right on the seafront in Margate, with entrances on both Marine Drive and the High Street just by the Old Town. Our upstairs room has views over the sands and sea, and you can also see the rooftop garden where the bar grows the herbs for its cocktails.

We're pleased to announce that our first guests are.. DECLAN BENNETT, who opened our very first event 10 years ago in London, and JEN HALL, who played for us in Hampstead a few years ago, but has now, happily for us, moved to Ramsgate.
If you've never been to one of our events, they're totally uplugged, chilled, relaxed afternoons, where artists play in an intimate space to a listening and attentive audience

Doors 2pm, music 2.30-4pm. Sorry, no children.

DECLAN BENNETT
Declan is a charismatic hard-hitting, candid singer-songwriter with thought-provoking, poetic lyrics, memorable melodies and an intimate delivery that engages from the off. Impossible to pigeonhole, he's played everywhere from the iconic Half Moon in Putney to the prestigious Albert Hall in London, and Stateside from the cool Rockwood Music Hall in New York to LA's famous Hotel Cafe. (If you think you recognise him, you may well do - he's also an actor: Once the Musical, EastEnders, American Idiot, Jesus Christ Superstar, etc). With a catalogue of self-penned albums behind him, and new music in the pipeline, this is a rare opportunity to see him in an intimate setting so make sure you snap up a ticket soon.
