Insect Ark are an instrumental duo that plays experimental psychedelic doom metal. Evoking visions of dripping and lurching horror films, outer space travel, and gritty noir textures, using delay-drenched lapsteel, distorted bass & synths, and acoustic and electronic drums to creating a sonic mural both uncomfortably intimate and icy cold.

NeuroHarp is a brainwave controlled stringed instrument. It uses EEG technology to capture signals that pass through our brains and uses them to directly control the mechanical, stringed sound structure.
It is performed alongside percussion to reveal new rhythmic and melodic patterns, through developing the dexterity and alternate uses of this electrical energy.
The improvised performances, utilise the conflicting levels of concentration required to play both instruments, and creates an aural representation of these responses.
