Said The Maiden are an award winning female folk trio from leafy Hertfordshire, singing traditional songs about love, loss, death, soldiers and sailors.
With their trademark three part harmonies and intricate guitar, woodwind, dulcimer and banjo, Said the Maiden sing songs of love, loss, sailors, soldiers and child eating witches.
Possessing a guitar fingerstyle steeped in the lore of the UK Folk Revival, the essence of John Martyn and Nic Jones pulses through his veins. With a blistering yet delicate technique, described as 'Impressive' by The Telegraph, Chris Cleverley is fast becoming one of the standout players on the UK Songwriting circuit.
The Slaughtered Lamb, simple British cuisine: Fish and Chips, Sliders and Salads are the order of the day.
We have at least 11 draught beers plus ales and scored of craft beers in the fridges. Downstairs, our basement bar has events and parties every night.
During the week, we play host some of the finest folk musicians the world over. At the weekends we like to party with our DJs, the night and yourselves.
