Description

Born and raised in NZ on hip hop, jazz and dance music, drummer/composer Myele Manzanza is fast establishing himself as significant musical force on London?s dynamic scene of new wave jazz artists. Since his days as part of cult combo Electric Wire Hustle, Myele has gone on to release three solo albums, with tours and collaborations alongside Jordan Rakei, Theo Parrish, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Recloose & Amp Fiddler amongst others.

Myele is already developing a strong live presence in his new London base; his quartet has shared stages with the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, The Bad Plus, Alfa Mist, and drawing packed houses to top venues such as The Jazz Café and Ronnie Scott?s, where he will soon be opening for the legendary Terrence Blanchard over 2 nights in April.

Following on from his acclaimed 2019 jazz album ?A Love Requited? (via Award winning UK label, ?First Word Records?), Myele released an EP of remixes in early March 2020 by a set of diverse musicians from all corners of the globe, including Theo Parrish, Mark De Clive-Lowe and Dark House Family.
