Description

Spot the resident bats of Clare Castle Country Park on a short walk following the New Cut through the Park grounds. Shortly after dusk, will venture into the Park to spot these wonderful mammals as they dart through the sky. This fascinating walk will not only provide you with the opportunity to observe our bats but provides the platform for you to learn why Clare Castle Country Park is a suitable home for these wonderful creatures.
Please note that the walk takes some uneven and narrow paths that are unlit. We therefore suggest that the walk is suitable for children aged 7 and above (with all children being supervised by an adult) and we politely request that dogs are not brought on this walk as they can impact sightings.

A number of bat detectors will be provided but will not be able to be exchanged and shared during the walk. The walk will begin with a Health and Safety briefing promptly at 7PM.
