FIVE-WAY SPLIT comprises some of the most in demand jazz UK musicians. They have been rehearsing every week during lockdown.
They are premiering their tight set of great contemporary Bop repertoire at Spicejazz Soho on Wednesday 7th October featuring saxophonist Alex Garnett.
During a career of over 20 years, trumpeter Quentin Collins has established himself as one of the UK?s top jazz/commercial players. He has performed, toured, and recorded with a plethora of internationally renowned artists across many genres including Fred Wesley, Gregory Porter, Mark Ronson, Omar, Basement Jaxx, Roy Ayers, Alicia Keys, Dennis Rollins and Mulatu Astatke.

PLEASE NOTE: The Spice of Life has been working hard and has provided extra staff to meet the government requirements (social distancing and table service) to ensure a safe environment for our audience. We have been advised to recommend a minimum spend of £10/£15 (2 pints of beer or a main meal) from each audience member to make it viable for the artists and the Spice of Life pub.
A pub and music bar on the perimeter of Cambridge Circus, at the corner of Romilly Street and Moor Street. First licensed in 1686 as the George, the current building dates from 1898 and the current name from 1986. (One of the old names, Cantons, can be seen being held by one of the gargoyles on the top of the building).
Famous in the 1960s and 70s for folk music and then punk, latterly it has become a jazz venue and home to SpiceJazz club. Up to 5 real ales from the McMullen range on offer and free admission to the main bar but you may have to pay for some music gigs in the basement.
Upstairs at the Spice is for drinks, eats and good times. Enjoy Great British classics with special seasonal dishes prepared daily by our chefs.
