We are very excited to launch this new show at the gorgeous Stanley Halls. We are London's Original Lunch Time Comedy Club designed for grown ups but baby can come too! See top comedy from TV and the club circuit without having to book a babysitter. To adhere to recent Government Guidelines we ask that if you're attending in a group that you can confirm you're from the same household or support bubble. If you make a group booking of any number up to 6 people this will be reserved for you. Tickets are limited to allow plenty of room for social distancing. The cafe will be open in the courtyard as this provides a lower level of risk in the fresh outdoors- serving you food, hot drinks and alcohol . If you have come to our clubs before there will be a few things different to meet Social distancing measures. Please make sure you bring a face covering to wear when not sitting in your seat. Doors open 11.30 Show starts at 12.30 with a interval and finish 2.pm. Hand sanitiser upon entrance, staff will be wearing face masks , performers will be over 2 meters away on stage. Plenty of buggy parking at the back of the room. We can provide a play mat but feel free to bring your own for any tummy time babies . Please feel free to feed change, stand with your baby acts are v respectful - A baby crying is nothing compared to a rowdy Saturday stag or hen do gig ! Acts do their normal club sets which is why we recommend age limit is for up to one year olds .( give or take a month or two ) we don't want their first naughty word to be from us !
If you are a multiple birth parent please get in touch before the show so we can reserve you a safe area to keep your buggy with you. Please note expectant parents , aunts , grandparents , friends all very welcome. We do our best to make parents & baby feel comfortable, but with the excitement of a comedy club atmosphere. Tickets are non refundable - if the Government stop live events we will offer the show on a live stream. Line up can be subject to change if an act has to pull out . Screamingwithlaughter@gmail.com
Stanley Halls was built by William Stanley, a self-made local businessman, inventor, engineer, architect, philanthropist, and writer.
Hardly used for years, it is now entering a new period of growth and expansion. Our aim is to fill the building with a community of artists across a wide variety of different creative disciplines, traditional and modern, both craft-based and cutting edge.
Our performance schedule will be about promoting the very best emerging artists across all performance forms.
Background:
Stanley Halls is run by Stanley People's Initiative, a charity set up by local people to save the building from permanent closure. They took over responsibility for running Stanley Halls in 2015, when they signed a 35-year lease with Croydon Council.
They get no regular grant funding and depend upon income from events and hires to keep the building open. Day to day operations depend on a small staff team, supported by volunteers.
Please consider making a donation to support our work.
