Guidance for parents & pupils
Pop-Up Dance will be reopening for in-person classes from 25th July. In order for these classes to run safely, it is essential that everyone keeps to the guidance outlined below.
Keeping you and your children safe at Pop-Up Dance

Your child should arrive for class dressed in their basic dance kit. They should have one bag with them which should include: any extra kit required for class (such as character skirts/shoes), a water bottle, a towel (to sit on) and any essential medication which they may need. They should not bring in coats, outdoor shoes or any extras such as stuffed animals.

Please wait in your car or at a socially appropriate distance until your child is invited in by their teacher for their class. Please do not come into the hall with your child. Please only talk to the teacher (from outside, at a suitable distance) if you have relevant information about your child's health and well-being which may affect their behaviour in class. There will be a 15 minute break between each class for cleaning. If your child is waiting for the next class, they will not be allowed to enter the hall whilst it is being cleaned.

Your child will be asked to sanitise their hands before entering and before leaving the hall - there will be a bottle of sanitiser strategically placed by the entrance.

Please make sure that your child uses the toilet before they leave home. Children will only be allowed to visit the toilet one at a time and will be directed as to which toilet to use. If you think your child may need assistance, please warn them that the teacher will wear PPE (mask and gloves).

The floor will be taped off to indicate the appropriate social distancing for our pupils. We will expect all pupils to follow this guidance.

All classes must be paid for in advance - we are no longer able to accept cash payments on the day.
Health conditions of you or your child attending Pop-Up Dance classes

By signing up for any class with Pop-Up Dance, you are confirming the following:

No member of your household has experienced any of the following symptoms relating to Coronavirus (COVID19) in the past 14 days: cough, shortness of breath, high temperature
No member of your household has travelled outside the UK in the two weeks from a country not on the government approved list (there are some exemptions, please contact Eleanor to discuss further)
No member of your household has knowingly come into contact with someone displaying the symptoms of the virus or someone who has been confirmed as a carrier. (if you are an NHS/Frontline worker, please contact Eleanor to discuss further)
No member of your household travelled and stayed in an area in the UK which is still in Lockdown in the past 2 weeks
If you cannot confirm any of the above questions, please contact Eleanor before you bring your child to class.
