Holding Hands is a new octet split equally between Norwich and London, exploring the relationship between the UK and US through orchestrated samples and pieces by the co-leaders Norwich- based trumpeter Chris Dowding and saxophonist Rob Milne. More below?

Holding Hands
The octet features some of the most exciting improvisers from around the UK, including saxophonist Dee Byrne, trombonist Raph Clarkson and tuba player Ben Higham. The music explores lush brass textures and post-minimalist vibraphone patterns, merged together with electronics from several members of the group.

?Critical Time? includes a newly commissioned piece from Norfolk and Norwich Festival, with visuals made with pupils from Bishop's Church of England Primary Academy. The tour also allows for a recording session which will result in a cassette release by the octet. This new piece will explore ideas of borders, landscape and climate change, at a critical time.


FOWL

At their most succinct Fowl are Hugh Nankivell and Graham Browning
They make pieces that involve words and music, sometimes these creations are songs. Graham lives in West Yorkshire, Hugh lives in South Devon.
During the last year they have been productive making a new album of music that emerged from the critical times we live in called HUMANKINDWEED. 
This veers from the domestic, to horticultural, to spiritual, to DIY and to Travelodge. They specialise in songs that feature fowl and have 2 songs about Geese and one about Pigeons.
Generally Hugh plays keyboards and sings and Graham plays guitar and sings, but in Fowl the things that are generally expected don?t always bear fruit. You can find their new album here on Bandcamp.
