Maddie Morris is a contemporary folk musician who won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 2019 and has been described by Jim Moray as ?leading the next generation of socially conscious songwriters.?
Maddie?s music uses personal story telling to embody political ideas, and their music tackles issues ranging from LGBTQIA identities to poverty and sexual violence. Maddie?s music is heavily influenced by international vocal traditions and they have been described by Nancy Kerr as an ?extremely accomplished young singer ? not just the possessor of a haunting and delicately ornamented vocal style, but also a performer with serious insight into how to tell a story in song.?
Covid-19 has meant that Maddie was not able to have the usual post-Folk-Award summer of festivals and gigs, Rosslyn Court is extremely pleased to welcome such an accomplished queer folkie from Leeds. Yay! (We love Northerners here.)

You will have your temperature taken at the door so please don't come with a high temperature. We will require a contact name and number for test and trace. It's tickets in advance only, please.
We have a Perspex screen between the performer and the audience and on-stage air extraction. The whole room is sterilised after each performance. There will be fresh air in the room.
The first hour will be live streamed on YouTube/Rosslyn Court, then after a short break there will be an exclusive set for the audience in the room.
-A micro bar, hot and cold drinks and probably cake!
There will be a limited audience with space between tables.
Please only smoke in the back garden.
