PETER, SALLY & THE SEA
Peter worries... a lot, so he often disappears into imaginary worlds where he can have crazy adventures and still be home in time for tea. But one day Peter's worries lead him down an overgrown path where he comes face to face with his fears. Can a trip to the beach help him wash away his worries? And maybe cheer up his grumpy next door neighbour too?
PETER, SALLY & THE SEA is a story about the power of the natural world to soothe worried minds, and a reminder that kindness can reap incredible rewards.
Hi I'm Heather of HEATHER?S HOUSE OF STORIES. I first opened the doors to excited children at The Mill, Walthamstow for the 2015 Art Trail, with an experimental mixture of improvised and interactive stories, book adaptations, poetry and songs. We all had 'The Best Time' and my storytelling adventures had begun. Drawing on my background of many years of devising and performing experimental theatre I write and tell original stories and adaptations of traditional tales for a family audience. I tell interactive stories wherever a community can gather - in classrooms, libraries, community centers, theatres and on zoom!
I have shared stories in MIRTH, MARVEL & MAUD, Walthamstow and schools around East London. THE JERSEY FESTIVAL OF WORDS commissioned an original story to tour the island?s Primary Schools and community centres and while living in LA over the past few years I shared my stories in schools and at The Cayton Children's Museum in Santa Monica.

? I just saw Heather's story about Peter. I loved it. She is so amazing. You really get into a story as she is telling it!? ?Wonderful interactive storytelling!!! Please do more with our kids. They loved it (and so did we!)?
?Heather was delightful. She enchanted the children and adults alike with her tale of the sea. She included some audience responses as part of her story and had us worried right alongside Peter. By the end we were invested in the outcome and hoped and waited with baited breath to find out what would happen. I want to hear another of her stories!?
At 4pm for 6yrs and up, Peter worries, a lot. He likes to disappear into imaginary worlds where he can have crazy adventures and still be home in time for tea. But he can?t hide forever and one day Peter is forced to face his fears. Can a trip to the beach help him wash his worries away and maybe help out his grumpy neighbour too?
Heather is a captivating storyteller, she keeps the children absolutely rapt and there?s always something for the grown ups too.
