[Day 2: 09/07/2021]

Austin Powers - International Man of Mystery (Jay Roach, 1997):

Embrace nostalgia in this hilarious spy comedy/spoof. First launched nearly 25 years ago, the first Austin Powers movie follows the titular secret agent (Mike Myers) as he is revived from his cryogenic sleep of three decades. He is soon to find out that he is out of touch with modern Britain, with clothes, vocabulary and predatory attitude towards women straight from the Swinging ?60s. He is joined by his sidekick Vanessa Kensington (Elizabeth Hurley) in a quest to defeat his nemesis Dr Evil (also played by Mike Myers). A dirty and twisted look at Britishness through Hollywood?s lenses.
