Alice Hubble
Described as the project of ?one lady locked at home with her vast collection of synthesisers?, Alice Hubble mixes melancholic pop, layered vintage synths and elegant vocals, reminiscent of Jane Weaver, Kraftwerk and glam-rock Goldfrapp.
2019 was a good year for Alice with debut single ?Goddess? named by Steve Lamacq in June as his ?Single of the Year (so far), opening for Beak> and Damo Suzuki, a showcase performance at Trans Musicales Festival in France and debut LP Polarlichter being named number 12 in the Electronic Sound Best Albums of 2019 list. She was also one of the five European artists to be awarded the Slash Artist Development programme coordinated by France based Trempolino and funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
In 2016 Alice Hubley started working on what would become the debut album Polarlichter. Having played in various bands over the years, the solo project was born out of a desire for Alice to work on music without constraints and to move away from the traditional song writing process.
