We are hugely excited to present our first major concert of the school year, and the first significant Chapel Concert since March 2020. Featuring some of our top ensembles, the programme will have a distinctly French accents we mark the centenary of the death of Camille Saint-Saëns. Alongside the triumphant orchestral finale to his Symphony No. 3 (famously heard in the popular film Babe), the Chamber Choir will also sing two of his exquisite choral works.
The French theme continues in a suite of incidental music for L?Arlésienne by Bizet. The ever-popular Concert Band will open our concert, which will also include the annual performance by our Form 1 Singers, performing selections from Russell Hepplewhite?s new songs for the Britten Pears Arts Friday Afternoons project.
