"At this point in time, where musicians are expected to be adept publicists and media strategists, where creative people are encouraged to pursue as many different avenues as possible to help earn a living, the fact that there?s still people around who are devoted to the craft of writing and performing exceptional songs makes Bruntnell both a throwback and a treasure," is how The Guardian described London-based Peter Bruntnell in a 2016 feature.
At the time that piece was written, Peter had just released his 11th album and two more highly acclaimed studio releases have followed since then. His latest, Journey To the Sun, was recorded in lockdown, with Peter playing most of the instruments himself (including a bouzouki) and it is this album that is being promoted on this tour - although this time he will have a band to help him perform the songs.
Support comes from former-Whybird Luke Tuchscherer (pronounced Tuck-Shearer) from Bedford.
Luke released his solo acoustic record, Carousel, through Clubhouse Records on 4 October 2019, his fourth album in five years. Previous releases include 2018?s Pieces and Shadows EP, 2017?s Always Be True, and his 2014 debut, You Get So Alone At Times That It Just Makes Sense.
PLEASE NOTE: This will be an all-seated show with a limited capacity. While we currently have no plans to require mask-wearing, if the COVID situation at the time demands it we would be grateful if attendees arrive willing to wear one if requested.
