Not Only But Also The Blues: Joanna Cooke - Bad Knees Blue Band - Rhythm Doctors Event Title Pic

Description

On the last Monday of every month we feature artists based in the South West from the bluesier end of the musical spectrum. Contact organiser Mary Caffery (mary.caffrey49@gmail.com) if you're interested in playing or being part of the jam. For August's session we have:

Joanna Cooke
Motown legend Martha Reeves put it perfectly, describing Joanna Cooke as ?the baby girl singing the blues?. Joanna?s voice has the soul and power of someone way beyond her years with raw and honest self-penned songs leaving a lasting impression on her audiences.

As well as her own busy schedule of live shows, record releases & international collaborations Joanna has supported major artists such as Martha Reeves, Paloma Faith & Rag + Bone Man.

Joined on stage by Nathan Austin on guitar & foot stomp Joanna will bring a performance influenced by soul, blues and Jazz showcasing her signature song-writing sound.

?Prepare yourselves, this is how it's done .. the soulful and epic Joanna Cooke? (BBC Introducing)

The Bad Knees Blues Band

Rhythm Doctors
The house band ends the night with a jam session welcoming a guest or two to the stage.
