At 2:20am on the morning of 15th April 1912 the most famous cruise liner in the World, the British passenger liner RMS Titanic sinks to the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean with the loss of more than 1500 souls.

This guided walk around Godalming recounts the tale of John George 'Jack' Phillips, the famous senior wireless telegraphist aboard the RMS Titanic, from his early years in Godalming to his final hours aboard the ship.

Join us for a 2.5 mile fascinating walk/talk tour with my friend and local historian Gavin, I will be there too helping with being the host, We visit several Titanic memorials, find out where Jack lived and where he first learned to use the morse code and hear some incredible rare stories from that fateful night.

Please note: Organised walk only, pub/restaurants/drinks after our unique walks are not operated as large number of members, but members are very welcome to organise their own get-togethers after the event on each event.

The organiser is not responsible for any circumstances that may affect the group, such as rail delays, cancellations, engineering works, heavy traffic or tours affected, weather, walk paths or routes closed, postcodes for car parks or for when we arrive back at the station, or anything else not mentioned!
