The Trio featuring drummer Mike Pickering, saxophonist Mark Lockheart and bass player Steve Watts have played together in many different settings on the UK jazz scene since the early 90?s, thirty years ago!

Mark Lockheart and Steve Watts first played together in the groundbreaking 80?s big band Loose Tubes, while Mike Pickering who first saw Loose Tubes as a 17 year old went on to play in bands, often with Steve Watts on bass, lead by former Tubes alumni, Iain Ballamy, Julian Arguelles, Mark Lockheart, Eddie Parker, Julian Nicholas.

Between them they have played or recorded with a huge and diverse range of artists including Kenny Wheeler, Radiohead, Django Bates, Polar Bear, Norma Winstone, Joe Lovano, Tiger Lillies, Billy Jenkins, Hank Wangford, Christine Tobin, Jim Mullen, Claire Martin, Kirk Lightsey.....

Expect some standards, originals and contemporary tunes as vehicles for their improvisations
