This comedy progression hour showcases a mixed bill of three up-and-coming young comedians who have impressed Sounds Proper Comedy?s audiences. Come and see them now so you can say you saw them first!
Caroline Madds is a comedian from Lincolnshire, a current ?So You Think You?re Funny Finalist?, whose witty charm and anecdotal material has appeared on both BBC NewsJack and BBC Upload Festival. Caroline?s warm and chatty style draws audiences in from the start. She was an immediate hit at the Sounds Proper showcase; come and see why!
Fakhry Faisal is Sudanese, was born and raised in Saudi, has lived in Dubai and Sudan and now lives in the Netherlands. He started writing about his painful life experiences two years ago, in a funny way, to get started on the stage as a comedian. He performed throughout the pandemic on Zoom and is now excited to perform in the real world. He was a hit with the Sounds Proper audiences, which is why we?ve invited him back to perform at the festival!
Fathia Saripuspita is an Indonesian comedian who is now based in Nottingham. She started doing comedy in her home country, and happily performed Zoom gigs on the UK comedy circuit during the lockdown, so she wouldn?t be told off for ordering tea in pubs. Fathia is the first comedian to progress through all of Sounds Proper?s shows; from the online open mic, to the Zoom showcase and then to the in-person shows. We are delighted to have her featuring at this Comedy Festival in her hometown!
