Pete Wareham (saxophones and keyboards), Ruth Goller (bass), Sebastian Rochford (drums)
Having played together in a myriad of different lineups over many years, these old friends come together for the first time as a trio to improvise.
Together and separately they have explored every type of music imaginable and have created various types of previously unimaginable music, so this gig will be a hugely exciting journey.
Drummer and composer Seb Rochford is best known as the leader of the twice Mercury award-nominated post-jazz outfit Polar Bear, and more recently Pulled By Magnets and with Pete Wareham co-founder of the punk-jazzers Acoustic Ladyland. He is also an in-demand session drummer for the likes of Pete Doherty, Adele, and Brian Eno.
Pete Wareham is an innovative British saxophonist, composer, and bandleader. He leads the genre-defying punk/jazz/dance band Melt Yourself Down and is a member of Nadine Shah?s Mercury Prize-nominated band, Seb Rochford?s Pulled By Magnets, Polar Bear, and also ran the hugely influential group Acoustic Ladyland.
Ruth Goller, hailed by the Guardian for her ?thunderous bass-guitar hooks?, is a bassist, vocalist, composer, environmentalist, and now a solo artist with her own hugely original 'Skylla'. She has played with the likes of Acoustic Ladyland, Melt Yourself Down, Shabaka Hutchings, Mercury-Award nominee Kit Downes, Sam Amidon, Bojan Z, Marc Ribot, Rokia Traoré, and Paul McCartney, Let Spin, and Vula Viel.
