local performer of note, a poet / musician and altogether to notch chap, Attila The Stockbroker is no stranger to The Greys and is popping in to perform a pre-yuletide date to an audience of strictly limited numbers.
After early punk group outings John Baine has accrued 40+ years of performances as Attila The Stockbroker across Europe and beyond, a Glastonbury festival regular, Glastonwick organiser, Albion season ticket holder (and poet in residence), solo, with John Otway and with his punk / early music band Barnstormer / 1649.
There's a live recording of an exceptional gig Attila played at The Greys in 2015 which featured in a documentary charting his career. If you don't have it, you certainly should. Attila's affection for this little venue led to him performing here in support of the Save The Greys campaign. Well, it's still here - the new owners may have pipped the crowdfunded bid, but James and crew have brought The Greys back into life and understand the reputation for excellent live music that the place had acquired and it's deep joy to bring Attila back as live gigs begin to return to this new reality.
You may wish to take home a copy of 'Live At The Greys', or a recent anthology 'Heart On My Sleeve (Collected Works 1980-2020), his autobiography 'Arguments Yard (35 years of Ranting Verse and Thrash Mandola)' and / or the most recent 'Dub Ranting' album. It'll be Xmas soon, after all and your loved ones will be merry and thankful.

We're not ramming the place, but intend to make it a comfy, safe little date at one of his favourite little venues. Buy your tkt we'll in advance, as we'll sell out quickly and cannot accommodate everyone.
