Taika Waititi's Jojo Rabbit is a new and inventive way of telling the horrific story of World War II for a new generation. It follows a lonely German boy (Roman Griffin Davis), whose world view is turned upside down when he discovers his mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. Aided by his wildly idiotic imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi), Jojo must confront his blind nationalism. In the process, he learns that love can overcome hate in this original and extraordinary film.
