Live performance by 3 great bands from the cutting edge German Shepherd label, to raise funds for the Help Joel Live Longer Campaign
Dislocation Dance ? cult indie pop pioneers who made a name for themselves with a series of inventive, eclectic jazz tinged releases on legendary labels New Hormones and Rough Trade. Latest release ?Discombobulation? now available on German Shepherd is described by DD?s founding member and frontman Ian Runacres as ?the best thing yet? from the band.
The Harveys previously achieved notoriety in the guise of Harveys Rabbit, with their cover of Robert Forster?s ?Is This What You Call Change?? which featured in John Peel?s festive 50 following a session on his show. Further singles and an album followed, as well as gigs with the likes of The Fall. The band are now back recording (check out Skeleton Dance and Laugh At The Stars on German Shepherd, available on Bandcamp) and playing live as The Harveys.
Four Candles, formed in 2016 and led by ex Hamsters vocalist Ian ?Moet? Moss, the band kick out a unique and powerful sound. A recent ?Louder Than War? review described it as ?therapeutic rant?n?roll? with songs which ?document life on the margins?. The band are known for high energy life performances and a series of great releases on German Shepherd including last year?s Alternative Golf, the proceeds of which went to the ever wonderful Peer Hat at the time of Lockdown.
