So happy to bring some of the best people and musicians that we had the pleasure of playing music with in the pre-Brexit / Covid / Climate Crisis easy-travelling-world to delight YOU the lucky people of Nottingham FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY!
STEF KETTERINGHAM
Widely known as the Jimi Hendrix of his time, Stef is the truly remarkable and completely inspirational guitarist from Shield Your Eyes, Reciprocate and more. We have spent many delightful hours in his company, speeding across Spain on tour in 2017, eating frittata baguettes, remarking at snakes and vultures, sea-swimming, breakfasting under palm trees and having the incredible honour of watching him perform solo with a guitar and bass drum. For this gig, we know not what form he will take, but we know it will be incredible!
JEM DOULTON
We were lucky enough to meet Jem when we joined Thurston Moore Group on tour in 2019. An incredible drummer who can be heard all over TMG?s Spirit Counsel album, Jem has also been seen all over the place playing drums for Róisín Murphy (True Fact: Mark Spivey even saw him on the Graham Norton Show!) We couldn?t be anything but thoroughly impressed by his command of the high hat, toms, and cymbals and loved watching him accentuating Thurston Moore, Deb Googe and James Sedward?s incredible spiralling, soaring and shattering strings.. And it turns out that Jem can also play real instruments too ! (a joke that only drummers can make) and is releasing a solo album track by track for the first time under his own name with no alter egos or bands in sight. For this gig he will be joined by the illustrious New River All Stars, a band.
RATTLE
Rattle will also be playing this gig, and we?ll be playing completely NEW, as yet UNRECORDED music that we hope will take the sonic trip to vinyl in 2022! These will be our LAST GIGS of 2021 and we truly hope to see you there to dance and sway out the year with us.
The price for this gig will be £9 in advance (including booking fee) / £10 on the door, in order to pay the travelling musicians, our incredible live sound engineer Mark Spivey and beloved venue JT SOAR the money they need and deserve to keep making and sharing music with YOU the audience. JT Soar is a BRING YOUR OWN BOOZE venue.
