dapper dressed, deadpan wit, top notch Jazz / Bossa Nova writer / performer on piano and guitar, raconteur, human trumpet, documentary star and 78 rpm aficionado, Earl Okin celebrates his 75th birthday with a little flurry of dates, including a return to the seaside, after agreeing to play at our celebration in honour of Lynn Ruth Miller in november 21.
He has been on the list of artists terrace cred. has wanted to entice back to The Greys after a memorable gig way back in the days of Mike Lance. We've nabbed him, twice.
We first saw Earl open for Paul McCartney & Wings on tour in 1979 - he's equally at home playing before royalty, International Jazz or Comedy Festivals, in jazz clubs like Ronnie Scott's, Pizza Express, at the Comedy Store, the Royal Albert Hall... here in The Greys we'll be assured of the very finest show in an intimate setting by this unique performer.
