I?ve always been a great fan of Lindisfarne and, even though they are Newcastle boys, I?ll forgive them on this occasion. I pretty much have all of their albums and have seen them several times over the years and how fabulous that I'm able to present two living legends from one of my favourite bands to perform in Billericay on Wednesday 6 April 2022 at 7,30 pm.
RAY LAIDLAW and BILLY MITCHELL present a joyful, funny and emotional celebration of Tyneside's favourite band, featuring acoustic performances of LADY ELEANOR, MEET ME ON THE CORNER, FOG ON THE TYNE, RUN FOR HOME and more!
When Alan Hull, Rod Clements, Ray Jackson, Simon Cowe & Ray Laidlaw exploded onto the UK music scene in 1970, their sparkling songwriting quickly established the band as the standard-bearers for acoustic-based rock, cutting through the prevailing pop and glam sounds of the 70's.
International success followed, and thanks to a string of unforgettable songs including Lady Eleanor, Meet Me On the Corner, Fog On the Tyne and Run For Home, Lindisfarne's music continues to be heard on the radio today.
In this unique show, Ray & Billy perform all those great songs and more, in two sets, and share first-hand the story of the band behind them with video clips, tall tales and... scurrilous gossip!

HOW TO FIND US Emmanuel is a 10 minute walk from Billericay station (which is 25 mins from Liverpool Street). We are also only 5 mins off the A127 and 10 mins off the A12. Postcode CM12 9LD.
CAR PARKING There is parking for about 70 cars on site ? additional parking can be found on the High Street and behind Iceland (which is only a 5 mins walk from Emmanuel).

GENERAL SEATING Emmanuel Church is theatre style with excellent views ?in the round? ? seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
BAR There will be a reasonably priced bar provided by my friends at Billericay Brewery a local microbrewery in the church hall. No drinks, apart from water, however, will be allowed in the church itself.
