Description

Barking Tales (the mental health comedy night) is back with its 2nd outing of 2022 (2nd Feb) with the brilliant Daisy Earl (as seen on The Comedy Underground) closing the show.

Daisy has quickly become one of the most exciting new acts in UK comedy. She won Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards 2015, was crowned Scottish Comedian of the year 2015 (making her the first ever female winner) and following a sell-out show at the Adelaide Fringe 2016 returned to the UK to win Best Newcomer at the Chortle Live Comedy Awards 2016 before performing another sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Impressive? an appealing vulnerability but awakening steeliness?
- The Scotsman

?a rare cunning, equal parts deprecation and defiant attitude. Hilarious?
- Chortle

The show starts at 8:00pm but we'll be there from 6:00pm for you to arrive when you want. Plenty of time for all to catch-up / meet for the first time.

It's free entry, donations after if you can afford it (everything made goes back into the night / UCB.)

If you've got ANY COVID symptoms then please keep yourself at home. If you can take a test before that?d be grand too. We?ll have a few on hand too. Everyone's very good at not being all up in other people's space anyway, so of course we?ll continue to practice that.

We have our own car park, right outside the entrance (on Cicero Street, do not trust Satnav as that will take you to Texaco garage).

If anyone is nervous of navigating the walking route from Derker tram station for their first try, let us know and we'll arrange to come meet you. We'll add some route maps, too.

There?ll be a well stocked tuck shop with plenty of snacks and drinks, including tea, coffee and hot chocolate

If you want to drink booze bring your own. This is a safe space though, so if you're a drunken nightmare you will be asked to leave.

This space is wheelchair accessible, too! Ground floor access, right off the car park. Wheelchair cubicles in ladies and gents.
