Sussex sax man Julian Nicholas returns to St Andrews with his group exploring the 'cool-school' west coast jazz style of the 1950's. Following on from the 'Chet Baker/ Gerry Mulligan' themed concert from last year, he now presents the music of jazz giant Sonny Rollins and his landmark recording "Way Out West". Recorded in 1957 this seminal album featured legendary bassist Ray Brown and drummer Shelly Mann.
The group is made up of Julian Nicholas (saxophones) Chris Coull (trumpet) Paul Whitten (bass) and Milo Fell (drums)
