Maddy Coombs and Nat Philipps present a set of music inspired by the gutsy, hard swinging bands led by Johnny Griffin and Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davis. They will be playing some classic Griffin/Davis arrangements alongside tributes to their more modern influences including Mark Turner, Joshua Redman, and Walter Smith III. The band will play one set then open up to a jam.
