Three great singer songwriters on one bill

Pete Astor
Pete Astor was the singer and songwriter in The Loft and The Weather Prophets; they were on Creation Records from the beginning and helped establish the feel and sound of the label.
Pete then made a series of solo records, including Submarine (1990, Creation) and Paradise (1992, Danceteria), the latter having recently been reissued on Tapete Records. He then formed The Wisdom of Harry and Ellis Island Sound (with David Sheppard) and signed to the Matador and Heavenly labels respectively, releasing albums under these guises until the early 2000s.
In 2005 he released Hal?s Eggs on Static Caravan and he has continued to release solo records on a variety of labels: Songbox (2011, Second Language), Spilt Milk (2015, Fortuna Pop), One For the Ghost (2017, Tapete) and You Made Me (2020, Faux-Lux).

David Lance Callahan
The mastermind behind C86 wonders The Wolfhounds and the beguiling, mysterious Moonshake, David Lance Callahan presents songs from his solo debut English Primitive, a concoction of apocalyptic British folk, Callahan?s career has included tours and collaborations with PJ Harvey and members of Stereolab, forays with My Bloody Valentine, The Wedding Present and House of Love. He?s played throughout the western world ?festivals such as Lollapalooza and All Tomorrow?s Parties and many hundreds of club dates. He released four LPs with Moonshake and seven with The Wolfhounds, all of which sustain a cult following.

Davey Woodward
Davey Woodward fronted indie bands The Brilliant Corners and The Experimental Pop Band. He has also played in alt rock trio Karen and.The Winter Orphans, a group of friends realising the potential of his solo songs.
In the last two decades he has mainly been writing acoustic solo Intimate folk punctuated by ?new wave?
