When Ashlea Lauren steps into the spotlight as her newest on stage persona Evie Ivory ?the songbird siren?, audiences get a show they won?t forget. Ivory is a vintage style vocalist combining a powerful singing voice with a saucy burlesque act. Ivory?s setlist includes a collection of songs that ?spans the decades with well-loved swing, jazz, classic musical theatre, and country songs from the 1920s right through to modern-day but always, of course, with that decadent, vintage style,? says Lauren.
Based in Chelmsford, Essex, England, Lauren has a love for performing that was born at an early age. ?I?ve been performing in some way or another since I was a tot,? says Lauren. ?Professionally, I have worked within the entertainment industry across musical theatre, cabaret, cruise ships, hotels, holiday parks, pantomime and interactive theatre. Entertaining has been at my core for as long as I can remember and I couldn?t imagine doing much else. My recent venture has been the ?birth? of my vintage stage persona ? Evie Ivory. Born from the desire to perform, a vintage heart, and the intrigue of the burlesque underworld.
