Jazz standards with Freddie Benedict
Rising jazz vocalist Freddie Benedict has already distinguished himself in the classical field as well as jazz. He was a choral scholar at Kings College London and Trinity Head Chorister and has performed in The Magic Flute three times. He is now studying for a master?s degree in jazz singing at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. As the lead male singer with National Youth Jazz Orchestra, he has performed all over the UK, including Ronnie Scott?s. He is also a talented multi-linguist, equally happy performing material in Spanish, Portuguese (both the European and Brazilian varieties). He is currently performing with Alex Webb?s ?British Standard Time? project

The man can, act, skat, sing, and play the trumpet! Freddie was born from an artistic family, joining a local jazz choir as a child, sent him on his way to becoming the ambitious, and talented performer you?ll see on stage. His vocal talents have seen him play at some of the most sought after concert halls, with international operas and the NYJO from Carnegie Hall, Glyndebourne, and the Royal Opera House to name but a few.

?It doesn?t get much better than this... a dazzling vocalist? ? STEVEN BERKOFF
?Freddie Benedict gave us his near-perfect Sinatra.?? JAZZWISE ON THE NATIONAL YOUTH JAZZ ORCHESTRA AT RONNIE SCOTT'S

Alex Webb is a songwriter, arranger and pianist. His songs have been recorded by jazz singers China Moses, Mina Agossi, Sandra Nkake, Liane Carroll, Allan Harris, Alexia Gardner and Alexander Stewart, among others. His show ?Cafe Society Swing? has enjoyed several theatre runs in London and one in New York, where he received the New York Times ?Critic?s Pick?.
