Description

Lizzie Hardingham played at Rosslyn Court in 2020 and was so good that when she asked to come back we grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
Indomitable folk musician and ornate songstress, Lizzy Hardingham, is paving her way as a powerhouse performer with "beautifully delivered songs that sing straight to the heart". 2019 saw her storm the UK folk club and festival scene, including Cambridge Folk Festival, while in 2020 she captivated online audiences with "a voice that could fill a stadium and the sensitivity to bring a room to attentive silence". This paragon of vocal vigour and songwriting sorcery has supported the likes of Lady Maisery, Gilmore & Roberts and Bob Fox (to name a few) and is emerging gracefully into the world of headline shows. Having been nominated for FATEA's coveted Female Artist of The Year, Lizzy is currently being mentored by the English Folk Expo and working on "firmly nailing her place as one of the rising stars of the folk scene".

After appearing as a finalist in 2018?s New Roots competition she has gone from strength to strength. Lizzy has had success in the Herts, Milkmaid Folk Club and Watford Folk Song songwriting competitions as well the Royston Young Artists competition. Her sensitively penned songs have been spun on radio stations throughout the UK, across the pond and in Europe; with BBC Cambridgeshire heralding her as ?A truly passionate and important voice? . Lizzy Hardingham means business outside of performing too, having run her own songwriting competition alongside the St Albans Folk Festival as well as helping organise online efforts for New Roots in 2020. Her newest record, Seven, features a varied mix of traditional and self-penned songs about our seas. Half of the proceeds go towards the great work done by the RNLI. Head to the SHOP page to find more of Lizzy's releases.

Her debut album Dusk is "an incredibly strong, top drawer album that packs a punch with every song" available on Spotify and all other good interweb streaming platforms, as well as the EP, Long Story Short.

"One of the strongest voices on our scene today" James Fagan For Thank Goodness It's Folk

?Memorial for a Glacier? pips everything else to the post as the EP highlight, a gorgeously delivered self-penned song with Jack Frost at its heart.? Northern Sky

"Like the call of the sea, Seven is irresistible." Folking.com

?A dazzling combination of voice and songwriting talent that rarely appears.? Celtic Music Radio

?A voice you could listen to on loop.? Maverick Magazine

?Never off my turntable? one of the best tracks of 2019 (Harvester of Gold)? BBC Radio Merseyside
