Mike Joyce rose to fame as the drummer in The Smiths; the definitive British indie rock band of the 80s. With the Smiths he recorded numerous classic albums and singles which are still cherished today.
Since the bands split Mike has drummed for Buzzcocks, Public Image Ltd and Julian Cope as well as DJing for BBC 6 music and XS Manchester and now Mike brings his brilliant DJ set to Generating Steam Heat where he will be playing the best in indie, punk, post punk and new wave.
Mike is an ace DJ and with support from Beat Descendent and DJ Bobbins this is guaranteed to be another brilliant Generating Steam Heat show.
Once again GSH will be at the New Lion Brewery taproom in Dartington. Expect great beer, food and music!
