A FUNDRAISING CONCERT FOR THE INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE OF THE RED CROSS
The ICRC is the largest humanitarian network in the world - the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, which has more than 100 million volunteers.
95.5% of donations are used directly for ICRC?s work in the field, in many countries across the globe. Their current key operations are in Ukraine, Yemen, Syria, Sahel, Afghanistan and Ethiopia.
The concert is an initiative by Latin American Harpist, Ricardo Curbelo, in collaboration with Classical Guitarist, Adrian Azuelo and St Andrew?s Church Leytonstone.
The last time Adrian and Ricardo shared a concert was in March 2017, at Lauderdale House in Highgate, London. Here is just one of the many compliments they received:
?Mesmerising music. Both guitar and harp were spellbinding.?
Adrian Azuelo is a graduate of London University and a post graduate of the Royal College of Music. He has appeared as a soloist on National television and has captivated audiences worldwide with his passionate performances of the colourful guitar music of Spain and Latin America.
??at the summit of his art?. (Le Midi, France)
Ricardo Garcia-Curbelo, from an early age, has been an eminent representative of the Latin American poetry and music culture on a wide variety of stages both nationally and internationally. He presents a great combination of traditional pieces, together with many of his own spellbinding compositions; vibrant, energetic and jazzy pieces contrasting with enchanting melodies and tender vocals. The sound of his Modelo Corvado harps adds to the uniqueness of his performances.
?I have never heard a harp played like this before and I loved it!? (Haslemere Educational Museum, Surrey, March 2018)
