Description

Formed some years ago as the house band for various residencies Hammond trio The Organisation have worked with many prominent UK jazz musicians including Dave O' Higgins, Gareth Lochrane, Roger Beaujolais and most extensively Tony Kofi with whom they recorded the acclaimed album " Point Blank" (proper records/the Last music company) in 2018. Multi-instrumentalist Tori Freestone features in many of the UK?s most exciting ensembles: The UK All Star Big Band with Hermeto Pascoal, the Nikki Iles Big Band, with Yazz Ahmed (featuring on her album Polyhymnia), the Julian Siegel Jazz Orchestra, the London Jazz Orchestra, Ivo Neame?s Quintet/Octet. She leads her own trio and their debut album (2014), second album ?El Barranco? (2016) and recent album 'El Mar de Nubes' (2019) have attracted wide acclaim in the UK and abroad. 

Aside from jazz all the members of the band have worked in various other genres. Tori with country legend Lee Hazelwood, Pete Cater with Sir Tom Jones, the Matthew Herbert Big Band and Val Doonican; Pete Whittaker with The Wonder Stuff and the Catherine Wheel; and Simon Fernsby (AKA Walker) with cult rock bands the Dave Howard Singers and the House of Love. They will be performing tunes from "Point Blank" along with other compositions by Joe Pass, John Schofield and Tori Freestone.
