Event Type

Genre : Music - Folk/blues/world

Description

COME AND HEAR THE WORLD PREMIERE of the amazing musical composition "What Will You Say?" written and conducted by Taylor Giacoma.

AND DON'T MISS THE LAST GIG OF HIS 2022 UK TOUR for Dan McKinnon - Canadian singer, songwriter & guitarist before he returns to his native Nova Scotia!

"WHAT WILL YOU SAY?" - a musical journey through Conflict, Peace and the Dilemmas of War. A choral piece with soloists and choir directed by Taylor Giacoma, local composer. First performance! Unique, moving and thought-provoking; this musical piece will stay in your head long after the concert ends!

DAN MCKINNON - an engaging performer from Nova Scotia with a glorious baritone voice and dextrous guitar playing. With his sharply observed and passionately delivered work, he is a natural storyteller.

IN AID OF "REFUGEES WELCOME" - a local charity committed to helping settle newly arrived people fleeing war and conflict.

Concert Tickets £3 - towards costs.
Donations to Refugees Welcome when booking your ticket via WeGotTickets
+ Cash donations on the day.
Also on sale, on the day - at £5 per copy - the anthology "Worn With Pride" by Macclesfield pupils, whose poems were set to music by Taylor Giacoma for "What Will You Say". Proceeds from poems to Refugees Welcome
