The Sydenham Comedy Festival at Poodle Club is pleased to present two feature shows for a full evening of live comedy entertainment.

ARTHUR SMITH: MY 75 YEARS AT THE EDINBURGH FRINGE

This is Arthur Smith?s love letter to the playground of the imagination that is the Edinburgh Fringe on its 75th birthday. Recalling some of the triumphs, disasters, love affairs and arrests of his many Augusts in Auld Reekie. Hamlet, Colditz, Leonard Cohen, Dante, dementia, Arthur's Seat, Gary Lineker and the Leith Police all feature in this moving hour of revelations, songs, poems, gags and bad costumes.

Please note: We are an intimate boutique comedy theatre bar, so PLEASE ARRIVE IN GOOD TIME to get drinks and be seated for the smooth running of the show and everyone's enjoyment. Seating is first-come first-served, so early arrival is recommended.

Fresh hot popcorn, snacks and sweets are available at the bar. We do not accept cash at the bar or box office, card payments only.

We have installed a new state-of-the-art ventilation system which delivers 500 litres of fresh air per second, making us one of the best ventilated small venues in the country. In keeping with the current guidelines, mask wearing is at your discretion, and we have returned to our normal cinema-style row seating. We do ask that if you are feeling unwell or test positive, please stay at home and we will be happy to reschedule your visit up to 3pm on the day of the show.
