Description

A double bill featuring Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist Adam Beattie with Canadian-British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Fiona Bevan.

Adam Beattie has become a celebrated musician of the London scene. He has been active since 2003 and has released 5 albums of his own songs. Having roots in Scottish folk music, as well as a lifelong interest in old time jazz, blues and other folk styles, his music spans many genres, but is all held together by Adam's distinctive voice and narrative lyrics.

Over his years of extensive European touring and festival appearances, Adam has played opening shows for many of his musical heroes; Bert Jansch, Jolie Holland and Sean Hayes.

As a multi-instrumentalist accompanist he has recently played guitar and bass for global singer-songwriter star Birdy (Atlantic Records). And recorded with and accompanied many acclaimed artists on the local London scene; Fiona Bevan, Garance Louis, Gabriel Moreno, Leonie Evans and Brooke Sharkey.

"Incredibly Beautiful" (Mary Anne Hobbs, BBC6Music)

Fiona Bevan grew up in Suffolk, UK, with a sweet, fiery voice and a soulful, cinematic folk sound creating "startling odysseys that suggest Erykah Badu, Joanna Newsom and Kate Bush spine-tinglingly joined" (The Guardian).

Fiona has toured with Ruston Kelly and The Wandering Hearts, after they met onstage playing at The Bluebird in Nashville; Fiona has also toured with Ed Sheeran, Nick Mulvey, Ingrid Michaelson, Adam Ant, and in Canada with Hawksley Workman, and has played onstage accompanying Anoushka Shankar and Nitin Sawhney. In 2018 she was a judge for the Ivor Novello Awards. Fiona spent lockdown creating ?Red Velvet Sessions?, a world-class HD livestream theatre in her living room with acclaimed singer-songwriter Adam Beattie, and is now writing a new album.

In between releases Fiona has been working as a multi-platinum songwriter, writing hit songs for other artists including the award-winning number one song 'Little Things' for One Direction with Ed Sheeran, plus singles for Lewis Capaldi, Aurora, Tom Walker, Kylie, Backstreet Boys, Joy Crookes, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Mika, Natalie Prass and Matthew E. White. She has also recently been writing with Natalie Imbruglia, Lukas Nelson, Amos Lee and Luke Sital-Singh.
