Often compared favourably to the late, great Rory Gallagher, Geoff Everett is a guitarist and vocalist with dazzling style. His playing is aggressive and beautiful with imaginative dynamics and articulate grammatical soloing. His performance is gutsy and very exciting. In addition to powerful vocals, Geoff also offers up breathtaking slide guitar work, as well as mandolin, keyboard and harmonica. A veteran of the UK Blues scene, Geoff fronts his exciting band in the UK and abroad entertaining appreciative audiences with blues/rock numbers both original and covers into which he breathes fine new arrangements. As an added bonus, for this gig, Geoff?s band will be joined by the great harmonica player Alan Glen, of Yardbirds and Nine Below Zero fame. A partnership not to be missed!
There is no one in music quite like Mark Harrison, he is widely considered one of the most original and interesting artists currently operating in the UK. An in-demand live performer, his highly individual, all-original music goes down very well with audiences of all kinds, and it has taken him and the band to some of the top venues and festivals in the UK. Mark is a totally original songwriter, and a thrilling, rhythmic fingerpicker and slide player, with a very distinctive style and sound. He plays a 1934 National resonator guitar and a 12-string guitar, as well as singing. He is a master storyteller, his songs cover all manner of subjects, with catchy tunes, lyrics than intrigue and engage, and striking rhythms that make you smile, think and move.
In something of a backward nod to the ways of a bygone era, it?s fair to say that Ben Hemming didn?t so much find the blues? as the blues found him. During a particularly troublesome period in his life he decided the only option was to seek change. Leaving all his emotional baggage behind, he embarked upon a musical pilgrimage around America that would come to define not just his sound, but also his own identity. He eventually returned to London with a collection of songs he?d written along the road, which went on to form the basis of his debut album. Now, with three further acclaimed albums under his belt, Ben is at the forefront of the UK Nu-Blues scene, a seasoned and compelling performer, not to be missed.
Sam Brothers? music is exceptional - gentle ballads sit alongside passionate, driven blues and roots laments, with everything underscored by his astonishing guitar playing, providing the focus for his incredible voice that can shift from a sweet, gentle sigh to a passionate roar in a moment.
