Seven-Time Grammy Nominated Neo-Soul Sensation, Natalie FLOACIST Stewart of the internationally acclaimed duo Floetry, returns to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the creative masterpiece that is FLOETIC.
Devout Floetry fans will delight in the renaissance of the creative vision for Floetic. Over two decades later, the Floacist returns to celebrate the journey and gifts her fans with a truly special experience of ?poetry with musical intent?.
The strikingly beautiful, eloquent and immensely perceptive slam-champion poet, singer, songwriter and producer took the music world by storm in the 90s in London on the open mike/performance poetry scene as a forum to combine the strengths of three platforms close to her heart - *music, performance and spoken word*. In her attempt to create a new genre she coined the word ?Floetry? by combining the words flow and poetry. In 2002 she graced the R&B scene with her brainchild, the Gold-Selling duo ?Floetry?. The group?s unique elixir of sensual soul and poetic justice culminated in the duo garnering seven Grammy nominations and becoming world renowned.
Accompanied by some exceptionally talented musicians these performances promise to delve into the ever-evolving artistic spirit of Floetic and Floetry?s soulfully original sound.
The Floacist will be performing in a specially curated live show to celebrate the impact of the Floetic legacy in celebration of the most impactful black British Neo-soul album, featuring unmatched classics such as ?Floetic, Getting Late? and the super ballad ?Say Yes?. We celebrate the debut studio album released by DreamWorks Records in the United States on 1 October 2002 and on Polydor Records in the United Kingdom on 25 November 2002.
The Floacist will be presenting her catalog from the beginning, giving you those songs you?ve always wanted to hear live. With no better way to celebrate them with her at home, here in the UK.
Floetic is the culmination of many influences, experiences and pure instrumentation to create one powerful musical statement. Fusing together poetry that inspires, story tells and captures the exploration of self.
